27th Annual Cancer Tournament 2011

In addition to supporting Rally for the Cure which is for women's breast health and examinations, we are supporting the oncology unit of Wolfson Children's Hospital. In December, Nancy Kaufman and I were invited to an evening with the physicians, nurses, volunteers, patients and Jim and Tabitha Furyk for an amazing behind the scenes experience of Wolfson Children's surgical services and Oncology program. Her is a photo of us in our surgical suits!

Please support the SWGA' s only fund raising tournament. We want you to play in the tournament, but you have other options of support. You may purchase flags in honor or in memory of someone who has been affected by cancer. You may come to dinner without playing in the tournament.
Please call the Golf Shop at 273-3720 to sign up or get more information.

Life's Success ..... Ralph Waldo Emerson
To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better... to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived....This is to have succeeded.

Our friend the inventor!

We extend our condolences and deepest sympathy to Jean Smiley on the death of her beloved Dale. We look forward to embracing you upon your return.

Joyce Dyro is in the hospital with severe back pain and a foot infection. The following is an email from her husband Glenn.
Joyce is still in the Mayo hospital. She is fighting two problems.
#1-- she is still having SEVERE back pain. They are trying to find a way to stop that. This one seems harder for them to find an answer for.
#2-- Her foot seems to be progressing well. They are doing one more test today to be sure the infection is under control.
Thanks to all who have called. I am sorry I cannot call everyone, so I will try to keep in touch by e-mail. Hope to have better news next time.
Please keep her in your prayers. Glenn
