Club to Club
Our season concluded with an invitational tournament at Palencia where we had twenty players from Sawgrass CC enjoy golf and hospitality. Thanks and appreciation go to Lois Schwinger and Sherri Lubin (with help from Roseanne Corrigan) for an outstanding menu of Clubs to play and enjoy as well as the two invitationals hosted by Sawgrass CC this past season. Great job ladies!

SWGA Closing Day 2011
We had a beautiful day for golf and Mary Lou Bannon did a super job of organizing our tournament and our Mexican Themed luncheon on May 5th!
Our Most Improved Player is Sandy Elliott.
Five flights of first, second and third were awarded in the season long Ringer Tournament. The top winner in each flight are Shirley Budden, Kathy Church, Maggie Wyand, Ginny Fritz and Nancy Burfeind. Congratulations to all.
The season long Color Team Tournament was narrowly won by the RED Team!
A lovely framed photograph of 4 South was presented to Shirley Budden in honor and celebration of ten consecutive years as Women's Club Champion. You are an impressive golfer and a fine representative of our Country Club. Congratulations. Enjoy looking at your view from anywhere you hang it!

Good Job Delores
Delores Adams has just concluded her second term as president of the Jacksonville Women's Golf Association. We are proud of your accomplishment. You are a wonderful example of the terrific people we have at Sawrass Country Club!
Couple's Club Championship
Ginny and Ken Stott, our 2010 champions, planned and executed a lovely event this year that was won by the team of Lisa Williamson and Dennis McCarthy. Susan and Bob Cruickshank were the net winners. The dinner and festivities were held by the adult pool at the Beach Club. I heard it was loads of fun. Congratulations to all!
Mixed member Guest 2011
"Spring Training - Get Ready for Summer" was the theme of the event. There was a nine hole Par 3 tournament with peanuts and crackerjacks to augment the baseball theme. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served at the chipping green. The tournament round was1-2-3 (you're out???) with hot dogs and soda at the Inn Between followed by dinner at the Beach Club. Very clever and imaginative and kudos go to Paula and Bob Fairley for organizing and running this fine event.
