Welcome to the Sawgrass Women's Golf Association Blog

Membership in Sawgrass Women’s Golf Association’s (SWGA) 18-hole group is open to women who are members in good standing of Sawgrass Country Club with golf privileges and have an established handicap of 36, or better, for 20 posted 18 hole rounds with scoring activity posted within the previous 12 months.

After paying annual dues a member is eligible to compete in scheduled play days and/or tournaments and competitions and win prizes.

We welcome new members at any time of the year. Our season runs from September to May with additional summer activities. Please approach any member

of the Golf Staff to assist you in joining our fun and active golf group.

First Lady Cup - Handicap Tournament

It was a very warm and very blustery day for the conclusion of our two day tournament.
Thanks go to Susan Cruickshank, Tournament Chairman and to our wonderful Golf Staff Professional, Pamela Shelley for a well run and nicely competitive event.

28th Annual SWGA Cancer Tournament

On January 31st, one hundred forty-four Sawgrass women played a step-aside scramble tournament on a beautiful Ponte Vedra day.

2012 Mars vs. Venus Tournament

Sunday, January 29th was another glorious day at Sawgrass CC. One hundred and ten women and men played in mixed matches, men vs. women. I heard laughter all around the course, as well as some stony silences! Our DOG, Greg was on hand to assist on number six East. The highly anticipated results were held confidential by Stephen Brunt until most had enjoyed libations at the Beach Club. The men were victorious this year with a total of 49 points to the women's 35 points! We took a drubbing!
Thanks to Samantha and John Brantley for organizing this super fun event!
