FYI

Just to keep you updated!
On August 19th the Golf Committee met with Mr. Phil Berry, PGA Certified Professional Employment Consultant, to initiate the club's search for a Director of Golf. The purpose of the meeting was to create a plan and develop a position profile. I was a part of this meeting because I was asked to be the SWGA Chairman. I am enjoying the Golf Committee experience and I feel privileged to take part in the candidate review and selection process.

On August 24 the SWGA Board met to discuss the upcoming golf year. The minutes of the meeting will be posted on the bulletin board in the Locker Room. Thanks to Ginny Elliott, the new Booklets for 2010-2011 are available to you in the Golf Shop. They will also be available at our Opening Luncheon on September 14. Remember to sign up on ForeTees for all upcoming events.
You should have received your invitation to our two day Fall Member/Guest event October 25 & 26. It looks like something I don't want to miss! Sign up now.
Team Day (colors) will be starting October 5th. The teams will be made up on September 28. Shirley Budden is Team Chairman. She will collect $10. per player at Opening Day. New rules! Come to the Luncheon whether you play golf or not!
The first Club to Club event will be held here on September Thursday, 23. Please plan to play. Sign up on ForeTees. We are invited to play at The King & Bear on September 30.

Jennifer Jolly, Director of Food & Beverage called me to acknowledge some misunderstandings and missed communications in the past and to say she and her staff are doing all they can to rectify the situation. They want all of us to be happy with the food and beverage experience at our club. Jen looks forward to meeting more of the women as we start up our new season.

Happy golfing!
